The Free Ride Is Over: Office Live Small Business To Charge For Domain Names

When Office Live transitioned to Office Live Small Business, it stopped offering free domain names to new subscribers but continued to pay the registration fees of domains that were already registered when the service was free. The free ride is over.

I got an e-mail from OLSB about the change in their domain name policy stating that domains won't be renewed for free as of October 1 2009. So be prepared to cough up $14.95 per year going forward.

Once you reconcile to the fact that you'll be paying for your domain registration, the $14.95 deal isn't all that bad becuase the price tag includes private registration.

Hello!  It's been a while.  I have no problems with paying for the domain but my existing website won't be charged until 2010.  I signed up for another domain for my book which was just published (cynthiaangeles.com) but I think it is being mixed up with my old site except for the email.  I can't even start designing the new website because access is denied.  I couldn't get any help from anyone.  I am thinking of just canceling the new one.  Any advice?

Hi - Do you have instruction on how to make a feedback form for your site and have it update once you decide if the comment is appropriate. Sue of OLDesigntips said you may have them.
Thanks.

I don't Have a readymade solution; however you should be able to do so by driving the capture and display of comments via different lists: capture the comment with a list driven by a form, transfer the approved comments to another list which drives the display of the comments on your site.

Okay, so just create a form and have it send me alerts. Then approve them and add them using another list.

This site is NOT built with Office Live Small Business, if that's what you mean. It uses BlogEngine.Net.
